Two of the original members of Light and Power are moving on! Abdi has been a consistent presence at Light and Power for nearly ten years. He was one of the first boys to come through Light and Power and has continued to help other disadvantaged and vulnerable youth in the slums of Gatina. Abdi is now in pharmacy school and just finished his internship at Armed Services Hospital. He recently accepted a temporary position at a nearby clinic and is looking forward to pursuing a career in pharmacy. . .Boru has been a long-time leader and mentor at Light and Power. He served as the group's accountant and has been an instrumental part of the bag business. He's kept the Centre organized and focused and helped lay the foundation for the future of Light and Power. Boru recently accepted a Government position as an interpreter in Isiolo, a town in Northern Kenya. . .Abdi and Boru we wish you the best and will be praying for you. Light and Power will miss you!
